Victoria Sebag

Her love of the work of both Japanese print artists of the early 19th century and the Abstract Expressionists of the 20th century informs her gestural marks, surfaces and use of colour.

Victoria Sebag-Montefiore paints the beauty of the natural world, producing oil paintings saturated in colour and teeming with life.
Painting since her late teens, and following her time attending The Slade School of Art as an undergraduate, Victoria has built up a strong following and career to date with work in many private collections both in the UK and abroad.
There’s a timelessness and dream-like quality to Victoria Sebag’s landscapes and paintings - where the modern world is pushed out entirely and we are allowed to go back to a time where man’s imprint on the world was minimal and nature and wildlife flourishes without constrain.
Inspired by the countryside and beaches of her Suffolk home Victoria walks the paths and woods, finding inspiration in everything around her from plants and trees to butterflies and open skies. Making connections and building up her canvases from fragments of things she’s seen and witnessed.
