Victoria Sebag

Victoria Sebag is an artist who has been painting since her time at studying painting firstly at The Byam Shaw School of Art, and then The Slade School of Fine Art in London in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Her work is included in many collections & homes, both here in the UK and abroad.
Initially making paintings about the urban environment where Victoria grew up, Victoria switched to painting nature in 1997. Most recently her paintings have become looser in style, inspired by the wild landscapes and beaches of Suffolk, where she has lived with her family for the past 10 years.
Victoria takes her inspiration from the natural environment and particularly the Suffolk coast. Her style is painterly; rich with harmonious colours with an innate sensibility to her surroundings. Victoria highlights the fragile nature of the landscape here and the joy of being within it and in isolation with it.
With her artworks Victoria shines a spotlight onto the delicate balance between man and nature; drawing us into the areas of the world that remain wild and whose future remains uncertain.
