Kathryn Hearn

...exploring the nature of the contemporary in relation to the natural and manmade, through hand building flax paper porcelain, creating jars, bowls and vessels that reveal subtle layering, intricate lattice work and pigmented lamination.

CURRENT EMPLOYMENT
Self-employed Ceramic artist, maker and designer since September, 2015 undertaking exhibitions and private commissions.
Part time teaching for MA Design and Ceramics specialism supervision of currently one doctoral student at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London

Retired from my Full Time post as Principal Lecturer, Course Director  of the BA(Hons) Ceramic Design Course and Subject leader for ceramics the MA Design: Ceramics, Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London from 1990-2015.
