John Kiki
Black painted wood frame, glazed
Although, John Kiki’s preferred way of working is large canvases, John Kiki would also produce smaller paintings on paper over the years. The smaller works on canvas, developed when John Kiki began to work at home on the kitchen table after health issues and continued during covid lockdown. Some of these works started by sticking small photographs and later etchings of earlier works on to the canvas and then working them over with paint and acrylic markers. After his recovery coupled with the lockdown ending, John Kiki could finally get back to working in the studio and at his usual larger scale, but has continued to enjoy producing the smaller works.
