These and more figurative ceramic pieces are a feature of our current pop up in the stables at Houghton Hall. As a sculptor, Suffolk-based Michael Wood's work is focused on the form and shape of the ancient pottery traditions, realised in a contemporary style using the ancient techniques of the hand built coil pot in stoneware, He works to achieve various textures and decorates with natural oxides, accentuated with contemporary glazes.

From seashells, hand-turned wood and ceramics, to wool, seaweed and glass. Here we are highlighting those among our exhibitors who create the most beautiful vessels for the home.
